
In the framework of the implementation of the Erasmus+ program, Action KA210 (Cooperation partnerships and small-scale partnerships in the fields of VET and education PROJECT CODE: (2023-1-RS01-KA220-VET-154237) entitled: “AGROINFORMATIX” in in which the Laboratory Center of Serres participates as a corporate school and cooperates with schools from Serbia and Slovenia, during the period 18 January 2024 to 21 January 2024, two teachers of the Laboratory Center of Serres, traveled to Pozarevac, Serbia in order to represent the school in the first program meeting.
The theme of the program concerns the synergy of Informatics and Agriculture with the ultimate goal of developing software that will support farmers and breeders in Greece, Serbia and Slovenia.
Thus, on January 18, 2024, in Požarevac, Serbia, we visited the school “Poljoprivredna škola sa domom ilujani “Sonja Marinković” Požarevac”, where we were guided around its facilities. This was followed by a working lunch for the representatives of the schools.
The following day, January 19, a meeting was held in the facilities of the above school, in which school experts from various fields, related to the development and support of the software to be developed (livestock, veterinary, field, vegetables, plant protection, fruit growing).
The meeting was also attended by experts from the Agricultural Advisory Service of the Ministry of Agriculture and the president of the Association of Fruit Growers Pozarevac, who will help develop the application through implementation and verification.
During this meeting, the schools’ previous experiences and possibilities in the development of the project concept were presented, while in addition the possibilities of cooperation were presented from the side of the Advisory Service and the Agricultural Association.
Finally, specific tasks were assigned to each of the participants in the project (tables, ready-made solutions of some databases) and a specific schedule was defined for the completion of the individual phases as well as the next meetings of the project until its end.
This was followed by a working lunch for the representatives of all associated agencies.
On the last day, the international team visited specific business premises and was guided to the sights of Pozarevac.
